Dr. Ellis M. Suh, D.C.,Q.M.E. specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of NeuroMusculoSkeletal disorders, including Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injuries, Sports Injuries, Joint Lesions, Arthritis and Rehabilitation. He received his Bachelors of Science in Engineering from Yonsei University in Seoul, KOREA and his Master degree of Engineering in University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). He also received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences (formally Los Angeles College of Chiropractic).
Dr. Suh’s practice of Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure(primary the spine) and function(as coordinated by the nervous system), and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health. He is endeavoring to use the evidence-based approach emphasizing outcome measurement in the clinical issues. His strong engineering background facilitates the diagnosis and treatment by combining the engineering and medical knowledge. Dr. Suh uses the Diversified, Gonstead and Cox Distraction Technique as chiropractic treatment techniques. He carries knowledge in acupressure points.
In 2002, Dr. Suh began teaching at the Dongguk-Royal(Oriental Medicine) University in Los Angeles, where he taught the Survey of Clinical Medicine(Western Medicine) and Clinical Nutrition. His scholastic career has spanned over 21 years and extends to the Faculty Staff and Teaching Instructor for Q.M.E. state license here in California. Since 2002, Dr. Suh has been teaching the review course to Medical Doctors, Dentists, Chiropractors and Acupuncturists to help them prepare and pass the Q.M.E. State License Exam.
In addition to his work, Dr. Suh’s Chiropractic career is distinguished in his commitment to community service and his consistent dedication. He has participated in numerous Health Fairs, free physical examination in Senior Citizen Centers, Community Health Centers, Convalescent Centers and Assisted Living Places. He was involved in AIDS patients support program and Chiropractic Missionary in MEXICO as well. Dr. Suh also enjoys sports such as Soccer, Tae Kwon-Do, Basketball and uses his knowledge in some of these sports and his skills as a chiropractor to get the injured athletes back to playing form. He has received great praise from both his patients and peers for his dedication, and bedside manners. Finally, Doctor Suh has his own philosophy; The Quality Care for patients is his first priority. There is nothing more important in his profession than Patient Care.
